    Hi Joseph, My wife and I had the pleasure of hearing your band Centerpiece Jazz last month at the Mooresville community center. We can't tell how much we enjoyed your music! It was the perfect mix of jazz songs and your band-mates complimented each other so well. My wife is a former music teacher (retired) and she was thoroughly impressed.     Hi Otto! Thanks for your message. Yes I remember the Hickory Skinners in Bern back in 1986! What a great time that was. We loved Bern. We travelled around a lot that year - all over Europe, but Bern, Switzerland was our favorite place of all. Nice to hear that you started playing guitar/music after hearing us play... I'm glad to know that we were a positive inspiration to you and got you started on your on musical journey. I still play bluegrass from time to time - I just got back from a 3 week tour of Germany playing bluegrass! I normally play jazz and swing more than anything this days.     It was summer 1986 , I ve heard the Hickory Skinners play on the streets in Berne.I was 18 years old and so impressed , heard the whole set three times ! ! I started to play guitar seriously ( 6 months later playing rockabilly at a local radio station. lol ) Since then I ve never stopped playing , now with acoustic guitar and harmonica on a rack a mixture of blues , fiddle- tunes and oldtime-jazz. Although just an amateur- musician its a big part of my life . thank you for playing so nice acoustic music.
